This week we have had a few days of fall like weather. Today we are enjoying a cooler day too. Tho the high will be in the 70's, it is a cool morning and it is much better then having high 80's or 90's and hot nights :)
I have done some baking this week to celebrate our fall weather. I love to bake and just don't do it in the summer due to how hot our summers get here. This week I have taken full advantage of cooler weather (we only had 2 days of 80's this whole week.) We were struggling with Internet issues lately too so this was the perfect opportunity to bake a bunch of goodies.
So I do apologize if I have not visited your blog or community much lately, with the Internet issues and all the baking I haven't been online as much until now.
This week I have baked lasagna, apple pie, a roasted chicken, a chicken pot pie and even banana bread. It has been quite the busy week and I loved it! Today I think we will go for a nice walk to the park with the cool breeze we have outside. After that I will be making homemade chicken soup (I have the left over roast chicken carcass), but I am not sure if I am going to make chicken stew or chicken noodle soup with dumplings. I think maybe the chicken noodle soup with dumplings sounds good, what do you think? I will have to post the recipe after I make it. I haven't made it in a while and I am the kind of person that adds a little of this and a little of that so I need to make it to make sure I give you the right measurements!
What do you do to celebrate the incoming of fall? Should I make chicken stew with homemade bread or chicken noodle soup with dumplings? Or maybe I can make the chicken noodle soup with homemade bread and not dumplings. Decisions, decisions :)
