Delicious Easy Strawberry Dessert

Easy Strawberry Dessert

Strawberries are always a favorite in our house.  Strawberries were on sale at the store (they are usually quite expensive in the winter here), so I had to get some! I wanted to get an angel food cake mix, since I was already at the store I didn't want to get home to find out I didn't have the stuff to make it homemade.  That would be devastating if I wasn't prepared since I am now drooling in the store over the idea of having strawberries for dessert!
Well there was no mix for the angel food cake, but no worries Stop and Shop had an already made angel food cake in the bakery-phew.
So here it is, real simple :)

Angel Food Cake With the Strawberries
What you need:
Angel Food Cake
Cool Whip or your favorite whipped cream

Rinse and slice the strawberries.  Put them in a bowl and add a little bit of sugar, not too much but enough to coat the strawberries.  Let the strawberries and sugar mix sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (longer is ok.)  When ready for dessert, take a piece of the Angel food cake and top with strawberry sugar mix.  Add whipped cream and you have an awesome strawberry dessert.  Yes, it was a big hit with the kids.  We make this from time to time.  Sometimes I use the dessert shells, but angel food cake I think is the best.

  1. That looks really easy to make, and I'm sure my daughter will love it :). She's a sucker for strawberries.

  2. Hi Pepperrific Life,

It is nice and easy, my kids love it too :) It is very flexible- you can use a pound cake, dessert shells, angel food cake and I am sure other cake will taste good too.
